Project Strategy

Dublin Unified School District undertook a $57.5 million phased reconstruction of Murray Elementary, a 55-year-old school serving 900 students. The new multipurpose building required athletic flooring that could withstand daily use by elementary students while meeting modern safety and performance standards. We installed EcoSurfaces RX Athletic flooring in the gymnasium/basketball court, including precision game line painting. The primary challenge was the compressed summer installation window; typical for K-12 projects where work must be completed while students are out of session. Coordination with the general contractor was critical to ensure the floor was ready for the start of the 2024-25 school year. The EcoSurfaces product provided the durability needed for a multi-purpose space that serves physical education classes, assemblies, and community events.
