Project Strategy

The St. George Convention Center renovation celebrates the timeless natural beauty of Southern Utah and draws direct inspiration from the iconic landscapes of Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park and Sand Hollow State Park. Vibrant blues in the refreshed carpet and guest service desk accents evoke the deep sapphire waters of Sand Hollow Reservoir, creating a serene, refreshing contrast that welcomes visitors like a cool oasis in the desert. The carpet and paint selections feature a palette of warm sandstone hues, ranging from rich burnt oranges and creamy whites to subtle reds and grey and mirroring the striking Navajo sandstone formations and layered rock cliffs found in Zion's majestic canyons. The 3-D pattern of the rock-like moulding circling the guest service desks is from a 3-D laser image taken from Zion's unique rock formations. Together, these elements transform the space into an immersive extension of the region's breathtaking red rock country, instilling a sense of place, tranquility and awe that connects attendees to the enduring spirit of Southern Utah's wild beauty.
