Project Strategy

The Elizabeth Baldwin School flooring project supports a major renovation at this community-focused public elementary school serving Pre-K through 5th grade students in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Elizabeth Baldwin is part of the Pawtucket School Department and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment for a diverse student body.
Our scope involved the design and installation of new, durable, and low-maintenance flooring throughout high-traffic learning and multipurpose spaces. A key challenge was coordinating installation within an fast paced construction schedule and adhering to strict safety and scheduling constraints. We also addressed performance requirements for acoustics, indoor air quality, and long-term wear resistance to ensure a resilient solution that supports daily educational activities and meets the district’s sustainability goals. All flooring products used were 100% Starnet Vendor products.

Single Source Interior Contractor Award Strategy

As the single-source interior flooring & tile contractor for this education project, we delivered a fully integrated interior solution that supported learning, collaboration, and long-term adaptability. Our team managed the project from initial concept through design development, product selection, installation, and final delivery—providing one point of responsibility and a seamless experience for the client.

The project began with a collaborative discovery process involving school administrators, educators, and facilities staff. Our goal was to understand instructional methods, student needs, technology integration, safety requirements, and future growth. Through programming sessions and space utilization studies, we developed a concept that supported diverse learning styles, flexible teaching models, and student well-being, while aligning with budget and schedule constraints.

Using insights gathered during programming, our integrated design team developed a cohesive interior design that balanced function, durability, and inspiration. Classrooms, collaboration zones, administrative areas, and common spaces were designed to promote engagement, visibility, and adaptability. Color, materials, lighting, and acoustics were thoughtfully selected to create welcoming, age-appropriate environments that enhance focus and learning outcomes. Regular design reviews and visual tools ensured stakeholder alignment throughout the process.

As a single-source provider, we specified and procured all flooring. Products were selected for durability, ease of maintenance, safety compliance, and sustainability, ensuring long-term value for the institution. Our established vendor partnerships allowed us to manage lead times, control costs, and maintain consistent quality across all spaces.

Our project management team coordinated all trades, deliveries, and on-site activities, on-site supervision ensured quality control, safety, and adherence to design intent, while proactive communication kept the construction team informed at every stage.

The project was completed on time and within budget, delivering a modern, flexible learning environment that supports current educational needs and future adaptability. Post-installation walkthroughs and closeout support ensured a smooth transition into the space.
