This project encompassed the second-phase addition and renovation of a New Jersey educational facility, executed under a highly compressed schedule and evolving construction conditions. The scope included the installation of approximately 42,000 square feet of Tarkett luxury vinyl tile across classrooms and corridors, completed within a six-week window. Maintaining design continuity, pattern alignment, and performance standards under these constraints required meticulous planning and field execution.

A major technical challenge arose on the second floor, where the concrete slab sustained significant moisture-related damage following rain exposure shortly after placement. Recognizing the long-term performance risks associated with compromised substrates, our team partnered closely with TEC to engineer a comprehensive remediation strategy. This collaboration resulted in a tailored floor preparation solution addressing moisture control, surface correction, and substrate integrity—ultimately creating a stable foundation capable of supporting the patterned LVT system without sacrificing aesthetic intent or durability.

Throughout the project, the team navigated ongoing scope modifications and material logistics impacted by Tarkett’s centralized warehousing model. These challenges demanded proactive coordination, flexible scheduling, and continuous communication among all stakeholders to protect the installation timeline and uphold the original design vision.

Despite these complexities, the project was delivered successfully and on schedule.
