Project Strategy
This installation was executed with the understanding that in a hospital, flooring is not a finish, it is part of patient care.
The Burnaby Hospital Replacement Project Tower- Phase 1 exemplifies healthcare flooring excellence through its scale, complexity, and precision of execution. It also exemplifies that some installations can have tougher than anticipated timelines, much greater concrete work than imagined pre-install and how important it is to drive a team in sequence over an extended period of time while keeping all engaged and on-time.
For us, this multi-year installation required disciplined craftsmanship across diverse clinical and patient-care environments, each with stringent performance, safety, and infection-control requirements.
The scope included heat-welded sheet vinyl systems, commercial vinyl, and specialized resilient flooring assemblies, selected and installed to support durability, cleanability, acoustic control, and seamless mobility in a 24/7 care setting.
Working within an active hospital campus demanded exceptional coordination, strict adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols, and continuous collaboration with multiple trades under evolving site conditions.
Installation sequencing was carefully managed to maintain schedule integrity while meeting exacting tolerances, particularly at transitions, terminations, and high-traffic corridors where long-term performance is critical. Quality was maintained consistently across extended phases through rigorous supervision, detailed planning, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This project reflects our ability to deliver technically demanding healthcare installations with precision and care. Demonstrating how flooring, when expertly executed, becomes a foundational component of safe, resilient, and high-performing clinical environments.
