Project Strategy

Kellen Flooring Solutions is honored to showcase Bank OZK, a multi-level corporate office space located in the heart of downtown Dallas. Bank OZK specializes in personal and business banking with a variety of financial tools to plan for the future. This project was the first space finished in the twenty-six story building and provided Bank OZK with a show stopping business hub. The space is intended to be the pinnacle of Bank OZK locations and to have an impact on clientele. HKS carefully configured the space to be warm and inviting while simultaneously maintaining simplicity and Scandinavian-style openness.

Parklex Prodema premium wood was selected as the focal finish throughout the space. Each level boasts floor to deck glazing allowing light from all directions during the day. Parklex Prodema provided a product with a satin finish to reduce reflection and maintain a clean look. Wood runs the length of the building around all four sides. The longest spans reach 240'! 34,300 square feet of product was installed. Each floor had a unique footprint with curves in the wood and raceways around workstations. Wood cladded plinths were constructed to assist in ADA requirements and add a design element next to structural supports. Monumental stairs connect four floors and are a centerpiece of the design intent. The stairs were fabricated and wrapped around each floating step with Parklex Prodema wood, protected with Mapei metal trim, and aluminum bar stock implanted as a tread. Sika primer was utilized along with Utzin leveling products. Carpeted areas were prepared with Schonox materials to allow a smooth transition to adjacent finishes. All interior walls were wrapped in Johnsonite millwork base to add to the high-end look.
