Project Strategy

We were honored to collaborate with the esteemed Oaks Christian High School—an elite private academic institution—on a transformative series of campus enhancements in Westlake Village, just north of Los Angeles, California. With a 15-year legacy of delivering flooring solutions across the iconic “celebrity” high school campus, this most recent endeavor culminated in the completion of a three-story Dormitory Building. The project thoughtfully reimagined an existing office structure into a vibrant residential environment, demonstrating a sophisticated approach to adaptive reuse and sustainable design.

The renovated facility seamlessly integrates administrative offices, a welcoming reception area, instructional classrooms, and three levels of dormitory residences. Complementing these living quarters are re-envisioned study hubs, student lounges, restrooms, and a fully upgraded dining hall and game room—each space carefully curated to foster connection, comfort, and a strong sense of community. The design intent centered on enhancing functionality while elevating the aesthetic experience, creating warm, durable, and inspiring interiors that support student life both academically and socially.

Our installation team executed meticulous concrete remediation using Ardex: K22F, Feather Finish, and P-51 to ensure long-term performance and substrate precision. The finished interiors showcase a rich palette of high-performance flooring and finish materials, including: Armstrong Standard Excelon, Johnsonite; millwork base and specialized stair nosing, Mannington; Burke base, Mohawk; Cross Knit for an artistic medium, New Basics for back of house, and Tuff Stuff Step Up II, Marazzi (Daltile) Moroccan Concrete hexagon tile and Dal Tile luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and Roppe; ESD static conductive tile. Each material was carefully selected and sourced through our trusted partners to balance durability, safety, and refined visual appeal across diverse programmatic spaces.

This project stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship—creating beautifully layered, purpose-driven environments where students can learn, gather, and truly thrive all while re-purposing local land mark office buildings.
