Project Strategy

The Camas Clinic in Cusick, Washington centers on creating a community-focused, culturally respectful, and adaptable healthcare facility that responds to the needs of a rural population while supporting long-term growth. As a key component of the Camas Center for Community Wellness, the clinic's functions not only as a place for medical and dental care, but as a holistic wellness hub that reflects the values, id, and resilience of the surrounding community, including its strong tribal connections.

Cultural identity and a healing environment are embedded throughout the design. Interior and exterior elements incorporate local materials, colors, and tribal art to create a sense of belonging and respect. Flooring selections play a key role in reinforcing this environment, with J&J luxury vinyl tile (LVT) used throughout public and clinical areas to provide durability, acoustic comfort, ease of maintenance, and a warm, natural aesthetic appropriate for a healthcare setting. The flooring supports infection control requirements while contributing to a calming and cohesive interior palette.
