Project Strategy
Scope:
As part of the SFO Terminal 1 Modernization project, we delivered comprehensive flooring solutions across nearly 360,000 square feet. Our team began with Spray-Lock moisture mitigation on newly poured concrete to ensure a stable foundation. We then installed nearly 30,000 square yards of custom-designed carpet, including Tarkett and Milliken carpet tile, as well as hardwood floors for the serene Yoga Room and functional anti-fatigue mats in back-of-house areas. These premium flooring solutions transformed key spaces such as the Arrivals, Departures, Mezzanine levels, and Passenger Boarding Bridges.
Challenges & Solutions:
This large-scale project required precision and adaptability to meet tight deadlines and strict performance standards in a high-traffic environment. By working closely with the design team and utilizing Starnet vendor expertise, we ensured the custom flooring met the durability, functionality, and aesthetic requirements of this modernized terminal. The result is a cohesive and inviting space that enhances the traveler experience while supporting SFO’s commitment to quality and innovation.
