Black & McDonald TI
Black & McDonald is a well-established, integrated multi-trade service provider that has been delivering high-quality construction, facilities management, and technical solutions since 1921. Specializing in services ranging from electrical and mechanical contracting to HVAC and utility management, Black & McDonald operates across North America, offering solutions to government, institutional, and industrial clients. Their commitment to safety and quality has fueled their growth from a local operation to a leading national company with more than 6,500 employees.
This project was installed in 4 phases across two floors which required careful coordination between multiple teams. The construction involved the installation of two flooring vendors with a total of 40,901 square feet of installed products. The design aimed to reflect the company's modern, sleek brand identity while providing a welcoming environment for both employees and clients. The use of J&J Floorings carpet tiles grounded the buildings overall aesthetic, creating a cohesive, modern and professional atmosphere while also providing an eye-catching pattern. Daltile’s ceramic and porcelain tiles added to this creating a contemporary vibe with a playful touch using a luxe Italian backsplash in the café that pops the branding colors included in the furniture and accent wall.
Image Flooring was honored to be a part of this project with our integrated commercial construction company, CIC. Working on a project for another local construction company was a meaningful experience for our team. The end result is a sophisticated space that aligns with Black & McDonalds values and showcases our commitment and theirs to quality craftsmanship and collaborative teamwork.
