Project Strategy
Elysian Fields is a new construction memory care facility located in Red Wing, Minnesota. Surrounded by robust pine trees, the facility is an oasis to Red Wing's aging senior community. Having collaborated with Elysian's team in the past, CFS was happy to assist Red Wing Construction Co. with the entirety of the flooring and ceramic execution, from specification to installation.
Single Source Interior Contractor Award Strategy
As a memory care facility, the concept of biophilia was very important to this project as it provides comfort, rejuvenation, and solace to its aging senior residents. CFS presented a number of palettes, which was refined to deep rich blues, and bright airy yellows, signifying the sun and sky among the surrounding pines. Mohawk was an instant contender as their Emanating Echoes collection has color-coordinating patterns that allow for flexibility to define separate spaces. With organic patterns emulating biophilia and creating visual interest, the patterns are not too visually distracting to aging eyes. We paired the Mohawk floor covering with J+Js Tatami LVT, which provided seamless transitions due to compatible heights. Daltile was specified as the restroom flooring and wall tile. Their non-slip tile was the perfect solution in the spa, as it look luxurious but also reduces slip hazards. In the main lobby and dining room, Daltile was also used as the cabinetry backsplash, providing a touch of elegance. Overall, these products allowed the Elysian team to achieve their goals of creating an inviting, safe, and comfortable environment to their residents.
