Project Strategy

Welbe Health aims to provide comfort to families and residents by creating a safe environment for those in need. For little to no cost, families can rest assured that their loved ones will be taken care of with full-time services tailored to their needs. To no surprise, a big aspect of providing quality care is creating the environment for it to thrive in. While the vision of a long life can seem fulfilling, nearing the age of retirement can alter plans and deter people from asking for help. Senior care facilities can be the solution for millions of Americans.

Universal Metro collaborated with Starnet partners Mapei, Tarkett and Mohawk Group, whose combined products perfectly suit the peaceful ambient of Welbe Health in San Bernardino. The installation required Mapei’s Keraflex SG Mortar, which was ideal for its sound-reduction and non-slump formula. By prepping the floors with this thin set, the labor team delivered a seamless installation of the resilient flooring. Mohawk’s Hot and Heavy LVT was installed in two colors throughout the reception, dining, and living areas to create a sleek and modern look. The balance of light and darker tones within the tile made the setting more tranquil and inviting, which is perfect for its coming residents. Aside from its aesthetics, the performance of Mohawk’s floating luxury vinyl tile offers exceptional durability and comfort, with a guaranteed twenty-year warranty. After completing the installation of LVT, the labor team added Tarkett’s Millwork Wall Base to provide a sanitary edge for maintenance, while also elevating the look with its architectural detail.

Incorporating products that satisfy the aesthetic and performance expectations of the customer was crucial for this project. Senior residential facilities can be intimidating to families looking for extra help, so enhancing the look of Welbe Health’s San Bernardino center can make the experience more inviting to those utilizing the space.
