Our client had been working on a slow moving project over the past 2 years. With multiple phases over the past 2 years - the design team wanted to maintain color, style and feel of the products for the upscale residence. the focus on long term durability of the products was taken into consideration and the client and design team felt comfortable in working with our team to consider all layouts and transitions in order to ensure safety and aesthetics were met.
Unique Installation Challenge Strategy
Extremely challenging project in a "Senior Living Facility". Under 100% full occupancy and fully functional, the 2 phase project provided several uncompromisable challenges. Separated by a thin hoarding wall - the substrate had to undergo floor prep by means of grinding that could only be done during the day hours and for short 1 hour spurts. Once the demo was complete - the slab had to be self-levelled as it was being converted to a dinning area and this meant the tables and chairs had to sit level throughout. The challenge was ensuring that once the hoarding was removed, phase 2 had to receive the same treatment and the level had to be perfect. The install team had to contend with sliding entry doors, elevator thresholds as well as transitions to multiple flooring levels. A large scale herringbone pattern with a border that spans over 150 Linear feet across the building was selected by the designer and approved by the facility construction team. The team worked under tremendous scrutiny and pressure to ensure the pattern was laser straight and completed before the Christmas family festivities began. As a result - our team finished on schedule and our Account Manager managed to secure a second facility in 2025. Great things come with communication and perseverance!
