Project Strategy
The Benedictine Villa is a senior housing community rooted next to the Mississippi River in beautiful La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Villa has been a thriving part of the community for 30+ years, but unfortunately had not had an interior renovation since opening. Recent difficulties in marketing led to Benedictine reaching out to CFS for help in reviving their community. CFS was hired to facilitate a full cosmetic renovation to the public spaces in an effort to create a new, fresh interior to jump start their marketing efforts.
Single Source Interior Contractor Award Strategy
Benedictine interviewed other design firms but selected CFS because of our ability to facilitate all phases of the project in-house. We surveyed the existing site, created a design concept, specified all materials, and presented this package to the client for approval. Once they reviewed the plans and layouts, we were approved to move ahead. The interiors lean heavily on Mission Style design with extensive millwork throughout the corridors, dark stained ceiling beams, railings and moldings. We knew we had to somehow lighten the mood, without completely abandoning the Mission elements.
Given the riverside location, we wanted materials that echoed the water and provided a fresh, uplifting transformation. Mohawk\'s Art Alliance collection spoke to us right away, as it provided enough pattern & color to camouflage traffic, wear & tear - while offering classic lines to remain relevant for years. Having a family of patterns allowed us to mix and match throughout the public space. Daltile\'s products were perfect for giving the fireplace a facelift, and the kitchen backsplash the wow factor it deserved.
