Project Strategy

Thanks to generous donations from Ace Hardware owners and in-store purchase “round up” donors, patients and their families at Providence Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) now have a newly renovated space with a focus on safe, family centered areas that provided a calming and peaceful environment during emotional and often scary times for patients and their families. Interior renovations include warm and more “kid-friendly” interior finishes in all patient rooms, a new and private waiting room for families and visitors, and upgraded nurse work areas and patient check-in counter to make it easier for caregivers to respond quickly to patient needs and provide family-centered care.
Installing Mannington Bio Spec MD flooring in the PICU is a strategic move that enhances the unit's safety, hygiene, and overall aesthetic appeal. By focusing on proper preparation, professional installation, and ongoing maintenance, the flooring can significantly contribute to a healing environment that supports the needs of pediatric patients and their families.
