Project Strategy
The renovation of Kontoor's 4th floor corporate offices can be aptly described as elegant yet functional. By limiting the color palette to two options, they allowed the carpet's style and design to take center stage. One carpet was used for open areas and offices, while another was reserved for the conference room. The elegance of the space lies in its simplicity, avoiding excessive colors or borders that might detract from its overall aesthetic appeal.
Unique Installation Challenge Strategy
Although the design was simple, the project itself presented numerous challenges. The displacement of Kontoor's executive leadership team required expedited completion. However, the sole elevator created a logistical challenge, as it was the only means of accessing the site for removing existing materials, installing new ones, and accommodating multiple trades. Therefore, providing a high-quality installation, worthy of this environment, within the given timeframe and budget constraints, was a difficult task. Nevertheless, upon completing this project, I felt we had achieved the impossible. We managed to deliver on all three aspects of the construction triangle: quality, speed, and budget adherence.
