Project Strategy

CEEUS, Inc. is one of the leading consumers owned electrical suppliers in the Southeast. With unprecedented growth over the last decade a new space was needed to store easily accessed inventory and accommodate an expanding workforce. Their new office space tripled to 60,000 square feet and gave them an opportunity to collaborate with SEED architecture to create a unique workspace that connected all the departments with collaborative meeting areas, an onsite gym and locker rooms for employees. Architect John Powell and Designer Mickie Hoover of SEED architecture shared; “The CEEUS project shows our strong connection with Bonitz and how, as a team, we collaborate to deliver an aesthetic that captured and enhanced the end users’ vision."

CEEUS’s lightning bolt is the center of the company logo and also serves as the employee’s daily visual connection to their customers; the electrical cooperatives and their main goal of keeping the power on each day. With the collaborative efforts of Bonitz, SEED and the vendors, the design plan connected the lightning bolt through the flooring patterns and the use of the vivid blue color weaved in the products.

Unique Installation Challenge Strategy

Through the use of flooring material the whole Bonitz team designed, estimated and installed a visual representation of the company logo; a lightning bolt in various areas of the building. The kinetics product from J&J was used in the service area entrance for the company field staff that at times requires a more durable product. The front lobby flooring duplicated the lightning bolt, but in a more elegant formal way with the use of the Tarkett carpet tiles to greet customers. The visual lightning bolt achieved the design plan and gave them the right product for each area with long term longevity and durability.
