BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Frenchy's Sip and Shop is a wonderful neighborhood bottle shop located in Charlotte, NC. They offer their guests approximately 500-600 unique options of beer and wine, with a nod to local producers in NC and across the eastern seaboard. The owners wanted to keep the charm of the historic building while also bringing a sophisticated flare to the space. We worked with the owners to help select different products while also giving advice on best practices with each type of tile chosen. The open ceiling and sealed concrete help draw more attention to the tilework on the walls and in the bathrooms. From mosaic patterns to accent walls, Frenchy's shines and stands out as an architectural delight.
Unique Installation Challenge Strategy
This installation took place in a historic building built in 1933. No wall was straight and the columns in the center required significant work to square up in order to install the 2x2 tile around. The bathroom floor mosaics were installed with an elegant pattern that really brought the space together. It required us to work with the customer in designing the layout to meet his needs as well as working with Daltile to make sure everything was accounted for and nothing was missed. With no ceiling, all tile had to be precisely cut to work with the various vents, ducts, and cables that were required to stay.
