Project Strategy
Prosser Memorial Health provides high-quality healthcare with respect, hope, optimism, and honesty, with the utmost commitment to improve the health of their community. Over the last 5 years, PMH has experienced significant growth, doubled their medical staff, and expanded their service lines. To meet these, and future, needs, they built a new Critical Access replacement hospital that is over 100,000 square feet to serve their community.
The new 25 bed hospital has a larger emergency department with a comfortable family and support waiting space with a variety of seating options, natural light, direct access to an outdoor courtyard, and expanded number of treatments rooms and exam spaces. The facility also has five state-of-the-art surgical suites and the latest technology. New LDRP suites are designed to have more of the comforts of home, offering expanded family zones, more flexibility to accommodate mothers' birthing preferences, including water-births, and views of the surrounding hills. The suites will give families the space for connection with their newest family members, and a place to adjust to the changes a baby brings. In the heart of the hospital is a dining experience that welcomes families and staff a destination for expanded food services, as well as comfortable seating for meals and socializing. Other respite spaces are available around the hospital, providing opportunities for connection, retreat, respite, and focus. These spaces include family lounges, an outdoor courtyard, a second-floor outdoor patio, mother’s room, and walking trail.
