Project Strategy
Nunnelly was chosen to construct the new NISD Chumbley Elementary School, a significant project involving the creation of a 100,000-square-foot, two-story facility. The school includes a library, kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium, multiple playgrounds, and new classrooms. The school was designed to provide the most functional and attractive instructional environment for students and teachers.
Chumbley Elementary School was designed to be energy-efficient and use environmentally friendly materials. The success of this project is a testament to the outstanding teamwork and collaboration that made it all possible.
Unique Installation Challenge Strategy
The project involved coordinating the layout of 14 different colors of vinyl composition tile (VCT) to create intricate and visually appealing patterns, ensuring each section flowed seamlessly into the next. This required careful planning and attention to detail, as the design had to not only be aesthetically pleasing but also functional and durable for the high-traffic areas of the school. With a strict deadline for the school’s grand opening, we had to manage the installation schedule efficiently, working closely with the team to ensure everything was completed on time without compromising quality.
