Project Strategy
The Davenport Hotel, established in 1914, is known for its exquisite architecture and rich history. It was the first hotel in the United States to have air conditioning, and it has hosted numerous dignitaries and celebrities over the years. This new emporium aims to honor that legacy by creating a modern yet historically respectful space. The design will take cues from the hotel's existing architectural elements. High ceilings, large windows, and ornate moldings will be complemented by contemporary finishes. The integration of the coffee bar within the hotel allows for a seamless transition between historic grandeur and modern convenience. A standout feature of the coffee bar will be the use of white Carrara marble sourced from Dal-Tile.
The retail shop will feature a curated selection of local goods, gourmet products, and branded merchandise like our famous peanut brittle that’s celebrating Spokane's artisanal spirit. Display shelving will be designed with the same attention to detail as the coffee bar, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the space.
