Project Strategy
The Von Braun Center, named for rocket pioneer Dr. Wernher Von Braun, is in the heart of historic downtown Huntsville, Alabama. This multi-purpose facility is equipped to accommodate major conferences, conventions, concerts, Broadway performances, ballets, symphonies, a full range of sporting events, and so much more! Huntsville is a high-tech city with a history of Southern hospitality. The iconic Elvis Presley appeared for five unprecedented performances from May 30 through June 1. It was the first time Elvis had played that many consecutive performances in a venue outside of Las Vegas.
Our team put in a lot of hard work and dedication to complete this project, and it's a significant achievement for our business. The recent renovation was much needed, and the result is incredible. The flooring was used masterfully to highlight the design elements, encourage traffic flow, and conceal heavy wear from the high traffic in the space.
One of the most thrilling aspects of this project for Commercial Flooring Services is that, over the years, we have answered the call multiple times to upgrade the flooring. In this specific section of the VBC, we installed the flooring over 20 years ago. This demonstrates our commitment to providing quality products and excellent craftsmanship and our Starnet suppliers' commitment. It also highlights our strong bonds with our community and the buildings that serve it. The VBC is home to the Huntsville Havoc Hockey Team and is a highly active venue often recognized nationally and recently featured on trips to discover.
This project partnered with Mohawk, Ardex, Roppe, Mapei, American Olean, and Protect-. With the Mohawk Group Beyond Carbon Neutral initiative, this project also had a tremendous environment-friendly aspect. The project received excellent press attention from Fox54 and Rocket City Now.
Unique Installation Challenge Strategy
When working with multiple products in various areas of a large building, it is common to face challenges. However, the VBC is not an ordinary center. It houses several entertainment venues, such as Havoc Hockey and banquet facilities. Despite these challenges, we were able to schedule our delivery and installers perfectly, ensuring smooth operations.
