The design strategy for this new restaurant located in a historic Fraternal Order of Eagles building built in 1915 in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah was to incorporate and reintroduce the building original design aspects. With the age of this building, the sub floor preparation was a critical aspect in a successful and long term installation.
The owners contacted Mannington/Amtico District Manager Mike Foley after discovering products on Amtico's website and the ability to customize products to accommodate the design needs. With the age of this building the existing sub-floor needed to be cleaned up and stabilized to ensure a long term and successful installation. Diversified Flooring Inc. has had a longstanding relationship with Mannington/Amtico and Mike reached out to Aaron Little to assess the existing sub-floor and recommend solutions to correct and prepare the floor to receive new LVT. Aaron recommended utilizing Uzin and Halex materials as the solution to revive the existing sub-straight for installation.
The owners of the restaurant employed the services of their good friend and designer Suzette Eaton. Mike and Aaron worked with Suzette to create a Amtico custom LVT to achieve the design aspects of the owners and the historic building. The owners are very pleased with the design and installation of the flooring. The success of the this project is attributed to the strong relationship between Mannington/Amtico and Diversified Flooring Inc. combining the custom capabilities of Amtico and Diversified Flooring's years of installation expertise.
