One Kansas City Place is the tallest building in the state of Missouri. It is 42 stories, completed in 1988. The tenant that we recently replaced flooring for had new carpet installed back in 2012, but by 2018, it was looking rather worn and you could see major traffic path wear. The pattern was no longer noticeable and the color looked rather muddled. The space needed a major refresh that could be done with just simply the carpet alone. The Masland Avant Carpet Tile patterns Reflect and Radiate were chosen because of the "Energy" they convey. The Reflect pattern compliments the exposed ceiling structure in the lobby. The dark color of the carpet contrasts nicely with the white trusses and bright natural light coming from the skylights. This pattern was also used in all of the conference rooms to give them energy and color contrast. The Radiate pattern was used in the long 2nd floor corridor because it has a nice flow to it. Last on carpet, but not least, Antron Fiber was a must to have in these high traffic areas on the 1st and 2nd floors. With large group meetings, where many revolve around breakfast or lunch and learns, Antron was the obvious choice for cleanability and wearability. The 31st floor spiral staircare was also updated from a broadloom carpet to a nice sleek wood look with Milliken’s LVT.
