Project Strategy
The mandate of Groupe Legault's new head office was to create a distinctive and unifying workspace for all workers.
A place allowing several types of working mode, offering comfort to users. One of the signature elements of the project and undoubtedly the open space with double ceiling height and offering a view of nature and green space. The design firm: FOLIO Design oriented the concept on a desaturated color variation, this new color palette was strongly inspired by a collection of carpets and which found a place in the various conference rooms and collaboration. Each zone has its own personality and users can appropriate a space according to the desired atmosphere or their preference.
The product mainly used as a floor covering is a concrete-effect tile by Mohawk that was completely in line with the desired industrial and refined look. Its neutral look was a perfect base to introduce more colorful and dynamic areas.
A very dear point in the eyes of Groupe Legault is to have a space where animals are welcome, the materials offered also meet the desired maintenance and durability standards.
Darker areas of floor covering underline and accentuate the circulation areas (access ramp for reduced mobility and stairs) the contrasts of light/dark make it possible to create landmarks in this vast and majestic space.
In addition, the design team applied an innovative way of wood-look vinyl slats to highlight the different walkways inhabiting the premises.
The color reminds us of wooden doors and structures the place while adding a touch of warmth.
