Project Strategy
Terps Cannabis Dispensary (Terps) is a premier retailer, cultivator, and manufacturer which provides its customers with distinguished brands of flower, marijuana-infused products, and extracts. The Attleboro location was a ground-up construction, state-of-art retail location to service the southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island communities. The owners wanted a rich overall look but wanted to make sure the products selected were seamless and made areas easy to maintain for years to come. The architect/designer and Ruggieri Teams worked together to find products with a clean, rich environment that's simple to maintain. They chose J&J Timeless Vinyl Plank Flooring with an accent color from the J&J Make your Mark product line. Using the 5mm plank made a seamless transition to the Milliken Carpet tile and Milliken Obex walk-off at the entry and exit points. Bathrooms and break rooms for employees were designed with Dal-Tile Large Format Subway tile and Volume 1.0 1'x'2 porcelain tile on the floor.
Single Source Interior Contractor Award Strategy
The Terps, architect/design, contractor, and Ruggieri teams all worked together to make this a true design-build experience. Terps wanted to make sure flooring and tile products were items they could use for their current expansion plans with multiple retail locations and manufacturing sites. We had selected the J&J Timeless and Make your Mark vinyl plank, so each location could have an accent color in the floor design that was in the corporate branding, but different accent colors for each location. In this project, for the Attleboro location, blue is used as the accent color, but the next location, Charlton, uses green for its accent color. There is a culture of respect, support, and transparency from the top down with all parties involved, which really made this a truly collaborative design-build experience.
