Project Strategy
In a joint venture, two Starnet Dealers partnered to create a stunning and innovative corporate office space at The Battery Atlanta.
The interior design team worked closely with the client to create symmetry between flooring selections and the wall and ceiling components. The goal was to create patterns and visuals that draw the eyes from the floors to the walls and ceilings amidst the open office and glass-enclosed spaces. As the eyes gaze upward, unique and yet complimentary noise reduction panels are scattered amidst the ceiling, diffusing sound in this busy office environment while still providing texture near the black-painted ceiling. The flooring finishes were selected for their high quality and diversity. They were hand-picked from various flooring manufacturers whom the client works alongside and partners with each day, as they are also rooted in the design and construction industry.
Unique Installation Challenge Strategy
The project's unique challenge was the collaboration of the design team and the scopes of each firm. One Starnet dealer worked as a Choate Construction installer for all flooring, window treatments, and A/V selections. The other Starnet dealer provided all schematic design, design development, FF&E selections, and acted as owner liaison between the client and the building architectural firm, Nelson. Rather than one Starnet dealer punching their own installation, the partnering Starnet dealer assisted with all site walks and punch walk conversations with vendors to achieve an unbiased, final product.
Even though the project team included numerous decision-makers and thought leaders, the finished product fulfilled the initial goals set forth when the vision for the project was first conceptualized. Those included a space that lends itself to a collaborative work environment, a forward-thinking design, and a place where employees wanted to come back to work.
The finished office space is a stunning example of collaboration, innovation, and design excellence.
