Project Strategy
The office of Corporate Flooring Innovations Inc. underwent a full refresh in 2022 to achieve a physical representation of the company’s rebranding in 2021. With vibrant blues and stand-out greens, the colorful spaces are reflective of the green design elements in CFI’s new logo and brand. The goal of the project was to honor the history of the company while embracing the bright future ahead.
The office welcomes visitors with a tiled statement feature wall that showcases Daltile’s Color Wheel Classic subway tiles placed vertically in a random patterned layout. The tile wall merges into the existing J+J Flooring’s Kinetex Put a Cork In It to mimic the LVT further into the office that also merges seamlessly into the Kinetex. J+J Flooring’s Make Your Mark LVT planks bring random pops of color to the neutral grey flooring that complement the colorful accent walls throughout the office. The low-maintenance LVT and Kinetex are ideal surface solutions for the high-traffic areas of the common areas of the office. Individual offices were refreshed with pops of green with Milliken’s Live Circuit Current plank carpet tile.
The conference room and design library feature bold and colorful Milliken Edge Lit Nebula plank carpet tile that brings vivid patterns to the space. The bold carpet choice helps to balance the neutral furniture in the space which is a nod to the past, as the existing conference table was refinished to a light wood tone- a table that has been used since the inception of Corporate Floors twenty years ago. The result of this project is a visually stimulating space that honors the past while embracing the future.
