Project Strategy
The Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters wanted a space that shows elegance yet is homey. The walk-in space shows that elegance with marble tile from Dal-Tile with their crest in gold. This was a challenge because the gold weighed differently than the tile. We had to ensure we raised the grout underneath to support it at the same level. We made sure to cut each piece and buff it out. Now it lies in the center with all of the attention. The design of the marble in the tile helps keep movement to the other office spaces and meeting rooms. The other rooms consisted of J+J Flooring Grassland Demi Plank carpet and Tempo Modular style. These designs correlate with neutral tones. They have a textured pattern loop that keeps the movement and harmony with the other rooms. The Grassland Demi Plank carpet uses special treatments such as ProTex® Soil Release and Colorloc® Plus. This will keep longevity with the tile. Both carpet products use recycled material. The Alpha Chi Omega Sorority values stewardship and empowering others. This flooring design gave them the space to work in their community. It also provided the durability to host in an elegant homey space.
