Project Strategy
The Hendricks County Sheriff's Office and Jail got a new design. We were able to complete the design and installation. We collaborated to find a product that would last as well as calm the nerves of everyone. Natural colors bring that calming element. We chose Kinetex from J+J Flooring, the Brookstone Arbor style. We chose this because of its durability. Kinetex has a treatment for flooring called Kinetex ProTex®. This allows for spills to bead and be easily cleaned. It has a Polyester felt cushion backing that is an anti-fatigue surface. It is carbon neutral because it is 100% Closed-loop recyclable material. Another positive is the certification for indoor air quality. The flooring has CRI Green Label Plus™. We paired this with the Mannington Access Stone Spacia. The great part of the pairing is that it is the same height. Meaning there is less division with a transition. This LVT has an enhanced urethane for durability to match the Kinetex. It is also one hard surface that can reduce sound due to the thick backing. This linear design with micro-beveled edges worked well in the space. It complements the naturalness of the Kinetex to tie the whole space together.
