Project Strategy
Working in step with our local Milliken Account Executive, Mike Pajic, and the client, BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), we were able to set and manage the project expectation from start to finish. The Vancouver Convention Centre was built in 2009 and was the world's first "double LEED Platinum certified convention facility". The interior design was developed by MCM Interiors and built around the spirit of the west coast mountains and the long-term sustainability of the environment in which we live. The large 1m x 1m carpet tile, the color, and the geometric pattern design were deliberately selected to provide a current look that pulls in the picturesque beauty of the natural exterior. Beatty Floors was selected and awarded the project based on its reputation of being able to meet challenging deadlines, deploy professionally trained and certified in-house mechanics and manage projects with outstanding communication. Beatty Floors, Senior Estimator/PM, Craig Acheson, navigated the schedule and site team starting the project on December 20th, 2021, and completed the project on January 21st, 2022. Removing a stubborn and well adhered "original" carpet tile and installing 7,200 SY of new 1mx1m carpet tile, we required the support of our local ARDEX Sales Professional, Barry Minaker to provide floor remediation direction on short notice and a tight timeline. Beatty Floors Ltd has been in the commercial flooring business for 93 years and enjoyed another successful project with an outstanding client, supportive vendors, and first-class mechanics.
