Project Strategy
This new church facility is designed and built as an open, accessible, casual, comfortable place of worship and fellowship. The open sanctuary flows through glass overhead doors into the gathering space with its comfortable seating areas and a fireplace. The coffee bar, fully equipped kitchen, and game room encourage members and visitors to socialize and relax before and after services. The whole space is multifunctional and suitable for formal services, small group studies, multi-media presentations, music, coffee, and informal conversation. Overhead doors open to patio seating, landscaping, and a fire pit for large, fair-weather barbeque gatherings. It is a flexible space for every member demographic; young and formerly young. The Starnet member firm’s design consultant worked with the owner to create a warm, modern theme in harmony with the church’s culture and style. LVP was chosen for its durability and ease of care, and to compliment the custom reclaimed wood wall features and custom altar cross. Carpet tile planks were used to warm, soften, and quiet the sanctuary. The color palette is contemporary, yet timeless, and warm while remaining neutral. Materials were selected with care and maintenance in mind. Proof of concept is seen in the enthusiastic and frequent usage of the space. Mission accomplished.
