Refresh and modernize the space to help bring the kitschy oddities to life.
As you walk into the space the strong timber influence of the area was introduced by LVT in two wood colors to add an additional depth. Walking through the displays is a walk through time. Each vignette requires a different feel. Carpet tile was utilized to help create flowing transitions. At the start, the neutral soft gradient pattern is subtle and helps you focus on the bright walls and fun to come. As you step into the next room, the walls are a beautiful robin egg blue with pops of bright pink and lime green as floorcovering transitions from soft gradient into bright and cheerful. The grounding neutral tile then pops of colorful tiles in the same pattern to drop in randomly. The affect is fun, cheerful and energizing. The land and sea mammal segment is set off by a collection that nods to the ocean. Other areas are set to mimic the land itself like the high desert segment. The mirror bridge is a striking install. Mirrors are located on each side of Wood Plank designed to give the impression of walking over a very high bridge with no side rails. The LVT cut to the mirror perfectly to give the clean flawless feel.
The display vignette’s all feel fresh, current and add a fun energy to a very unique museum.
