The Cafeteria was the final phase in the multiyear remodel of this 75,000 SF call center built in 1965. Original brick exterior walls with partial height interior dividing walls in the center of this cafeteria were either taken out or hidden to create a nice updated open flow. We worked closely with the designer and end use to select the flooring materials that enhanced the overall design. 2 new large murals of our beautiful Kansas City skyline were installed on the walls. The style and color of the Milliken carpet and LVT that were chosen, along with the furniture fabric, were a perfect match to each other and created a stunning compliment to the murals. Our installers worked hard to execute the design layout of the flooring, which was to repeat the curves of the Kauffman Performing Arts Center exterior structure shown on one of the walls. The interior structure of the Kauffman Center shown on the wall is also reflected perfectly in the carpet pattern. The 5mm Thick LVT matches the height of the carpet to create a seamless transition across the entire floor. The end result is a brighter and more inviting place to eat and take a break.
