When DCO Commercial Floors’ team worked in tandem with Mannington Mills to produce a stunning herringbone LVT floor for Brown Integrated Logistics’ headquarters in Lithonia, Georgia, the product—and the project—just clicked. Mannington hosted the DCO and Brown teams at their new sales center in Atlanta, where they explored options and built a creative partnership that resulted in the entire install sourcing Starnet products. Durability and the “wow” factor were important for the client; a timely install was critical to the general contractor. Creating a seamless layout was a challenge—but on-site design alterations kept the project from zig-zagging away from the client’s aesthetic and within the contractor’s timetable.
The pattern flows throughout the building—Mannington’s Nature Path bordered by Spacia Stone—moving with precision like Brown’s fleet of 900 trucks and 5,000 trailers. Mannington Millwork trims the common and conference areas, not unlike the solid white lines bordering America’s highways. When they need to pull over, the busy trucking firm employees do so in the company breakroom, where the tile is set at 45 degrees like in a classic American roadside diner.
The office houses Brown’s safety, warehousing, and fleet services teams, the accounting, brokerage, human resources departments, and an orientation center.
