Restoring and Modernizing The Senate of Canada Building. The building which used to be known as the Government Conference Centre (GCC), is steps away from Parliament Hill located at 2 Rideau Street. In December 2018 the GCC was renamed the Senate of Canada Building. The building which was constructed in1909, now serves as an interim home to the Senate while its permanent home, "Parliament Hill's Centre Block" undergoes a major overhaul since it was completed in 1920.
Known for our workmanship, and our ability to maneuver difficult projects National Décor was selected to work along PCL Constructors and Pubic Works and Government Services of Canada( PWGSC) to supply and install various types of flooring, including Hardwood, Resilient, specialty flooring and Custom made Axminster Carpet for the Main Senate Chamber and its surounding. The Axminster Carpets were Custom design in Canada and manufactured in Asia. The High Profile Heritage Building required extensive leveling, in which we utilized Mapei for this section of our obligation. Because of the high security level, we were not able to publish the dignitaries offices located in the heart of the Heritage Building. National Floor Care was also appointed to clean most carpets utilizing our VLM cleaning systems amongst other methods.
