In September 2018, plans for RD Weis Companies’ new office in midtown were solidified and work began immediately. The design objective was to maintain the company brand within a smaller space than that of the original office. The open space concept of the old office was kept, allowing for cooperation within a smaller footprint. The full library of resource materials was maintained, forcing the company to get rid of any unnecessary material and existing furniture and fixtures were reused. The new office contains a meeting area the same size as the original but includes a smaller more intimate office space, making it more efficient due to the reduction in size. A lot of storage space was reduced, allowing the company to purge anything unnecessary. The LVT in the office was Mannington Spacia, the carpet was Mannington Anchor and Milliken Fixative Velvet, and the wall base was Johnsonite.??
The design, carried out on a tight budget, reinforces the brand and does not compromise on level of service. The result is a new company home without a square foot of wasted space.
