Pine Lake Middle School is one of many additions to accommodate the rapid growth in communities surrounding Issaquah School District. The primary goal of this project? To build a facility using economically and environmentally friendly products that creates an aesthetic evoking a sense of pride in the Wolverine's students and staff.
The design team chose floor covering products that are durable, easy to maintain and have a timeless design. Due to the large student size and high ceilings, there was an emphasis to select floor covering with acoustic attributes.
Selected because of the Antron Type 6,6 Nylon fiber, Mannington Ramie broadloom 12'6" carpet was installed with Integra HP backing in the classrooms and administrative areas. Ramie, from Mannington's Entwined Collection, was selected because of the modern yet timeless pattern and it's ability to hide stains between cleanings. To reduce noise in the hallways, Johnsonite rubber tile was installed throughout the school in Microtone and Rice Paper finishes. Johnsonite cove and base, Uzin and Roppe products were also used extensively throughout the school.
