Project Strategy
Based in Overland Park, KS Yellow Roadway Corporation is one of the largest transportation and logistics providers in the world. Image Flooring was excited to be a part of this project located just 12 minutes from our office. The overall design strategy for this corporate office tenant improvement was to provide the client with an updated space that combines their company branding with additional timeless accents. A variety of carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles were selected to provide a range of classic neutrals and bold pops of color throughout the space which includes 400+ workstations, 56 private offices, and numerous meeting spaces. The company's embrace of the new hybrid work environment made wayfinding a higher priority, the flooring design, therefore, was key to creating the clues to defining the different office neighborhoods. The large floor plates are defined using the company branding colors incorporated in the flooring, accent paints, and tile. Furthermore, the space was designed to provide flexibility to employees with multiple break rooms and collaborative areas throughout the space.
