Project Strategy
Echo center is a learning museum and aquarium on the coast of Lake Champlain. The timeline of the project posed a challenge due to COVID-19, but also that it was an occupied space and open to the public during the renovation. A multi-phased approach was used, but children and animals were present. Permanent exhibits acted as obstructions to an already complex layout. Our full scope also required removal of existing linoleum and the need to address slab issues.
Composed of multi-directional drops in a circular floorplan. This intricate layout required multiple colors, curved lines and seaming challenges, that our crew achieved with ease.
The Altro product line was chosen for it's superior slip resistance. Open fish tanks and water table features required a waterproof installation. The colors and layout further defined the spaces with curved cuts and seam details as the colors come together.
